Mutual fund is a type of investment that pools money from investors and invests the money in securities portfolio (such as stocks, bonds, money markets instrument or other securities). The fund is managed by a professional fund manager and already obtained a license from Financial Service Authority (OJK).

Liquidity Risk

This risk can occur when there is a high demand of unit redemption in one short period of time


Risk of Changes in Taxation Regulations

Changes in tax regulations can affect the realization of mutual fund returns


Liquidation Risk

A Mutual Fund can be liquidated by the Financial Services Authority if the Net Asset Value (NAV) of the mutual fund is below than the minimum amount required by the regulator

There are several costs that are charged to investors:

Type of Mutual Fund

There are 4 types of Open Mutual Funds:


Money Market Funds

Types of mutual funds that only invest in domestic money market instruments and / or debt securities with a maximum tenor of 1 year


Fixed-income Funds

Types of mutual funds that invest at least 80% of the Asset Under Management in the form of debt securities


Balanced Funds

Types of mutual funds that invest in equity securities, debt securities and / or money market instruments, each of which does not exceed 79% of the Asset Under Management


Equity Funds

The types of mutual funds that invest at least 80% of the Asset Under Management in the form of equity securities

  • Liquidity Risk
    The risk that occur when the issuer cannot repay the principal and coupon because of the issuer has low cash liquidity.

Indonesian State Debt Securities in United States Dollars (USD)

Debt Securities issued by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in USD denominations.
These bonds are traded on the secondary market and guaranteed by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. These securities are available on Sharia (INDOIS) and non-Sharia (INDON) basis.

 

Indonesian State Debt Securities in Rupiah Currency (IDR)

Debt Securities issued by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in Rupiah denominations.
Indonesian Rupiah denominated Government Securities consist of:

  • Fixed Rate (FR) offers fixed coupon rate with medium to long tenor
  • Indonesian Retail Bonds (ORI) offers fixed coupon rate with short tenor
  • Retail Government Sukuk (SR) offers fixed coupon rate with short tenor issued with the principles of Sharia Law
  • Retail Saving Bonds (SBR) * offers floating coupon rate
  • Savings Sukuk (ST) * offers floating coupon rate issued with the principles of Sharia Law
